Photo essay: Blues grab win in Philadelphia, 4-2

PHILADELPHIA, Pa – The Flyers have been riding a strong start to the season.   New faces throughout the lineup have brought excitement to the city and the roster.   But this past week, the St Louis Blues came to town and stalled the Flyers freight train at least for one night.

Kent Huskins and T.J Oshie scored early in the game goals and goaltender Brian Elliott stood tall in net to backstop the Blues to the victory.   Elliott made 34 saves on the night enroute to a 4-2 win on Saturday night.

Huskins and Oshie helped the Blues get off to the quick start one night after tripping up the Hurricanes in St Louis in OT.   The club did not arrive in Philadelphia until early morning on game day.

Pro Hockey News’ Lewis Bleiman was in the arena to cover the match and presents this photo essay.
