ALLEN, Texas – I began taking pictures of the Allen Americans in their inaugural season (2009/2010). I get the most gratification when I am able to catch the “battle” of the game.
With my images, I strive to hit the shutter at the point a player’s face reveals his struggle and effort to win the fight. I enjoy capturing the action and movement in every shot. However useful in identifying people, non-action shots rarely catch the heart of what the player gives to the game. At this point, I have come to prefer watching the game through the lens and the game is not the same if I am not shooting and I am always looking forward to my next game to see what treasures I will capture.
My equipment includes a Nikon D700 with a Sigma 70-200mm lens and I shoot at F2.8 with a SP of 1250.
