A 5-2 home win over Peterborough on Saturday was followed up by a tight and tense 1-0 victory down in Telford last night.
James Archer scored the winner on Sunday with just over two minutes remaining.
Phoenix passed up six powerplay opportunities against the Tigers but got the vital winner late on against the League’s resurgent team.
Archer was equally on target on Saturday as Manchester secured a comfortable two points over Peterborough.
Frantisek Bakrlik scored the opener in the 13th minute before Joe Graham grabbed his second of the season.
The home side continued to dominate and Richard Bentham made it 3-0 only for Erik Piatak to pull one back on the powerplay.
But it really was all Phoenix and Bakrlik and Archer, sandwiched a Luke Ferrara reply to ensure an easy victory.
Phoenix remain top of the table on goal difference from Basingstoke but have three games in hand.
Meanwhile, Belfast Giants secured the Elite League title with a 3-1 win over last year’s champs Nottingham.
