PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Providence tops Sound Tigers 3-1 Craig Cunningham extends goal streak to eight games

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Providence Bruins defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 3-1 Friday March 22, 2013 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Craig Cunningham and Justin Florek scored in the win, and goaltender Michael Hutchinson made 26 saves in the effort.

Alexander Khokhlachev also made his debut for the Providence Bruins. Khokhlachev split this season with Windsor and Moscow (KHL), recording 24-31=55 totals in 55 combined games. In three seasons with Windsor, the native of Moscow, Russia recorded 81 – 112= 193 totals, including a junior career high of 76 points in 2010-11. The 5’10”, 172-pound center was selected by the Boston Bruins in round two (40th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
