PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Mississauga loses to 67’s Ottawa wins 4-2

MISSISSAUGA, Ont – In their annual “Pink at the Rink” game sponsored by local State Farm agents, the Misphn-bsogsissauga Steelheads hosted the Ottawa 76’s on Sunday afternoon (at the Hershey Centre) losing to Ottawa 4 – 2 in what was a significant victory for Ottawa and may be a major decision maker as we approach the playoffs.

Period 1: Ottawa’s Dante Salituro opened the scoring with an unassisted goal at the 5:27 mark to give them a 1 – 0 lead.

The Steelheads out shot the 67’s in the first period 15 to 10.

Score at the end of 1; Steelheads 0 – Ottawa 67’s 1

Period 2: Ottawa started the second period with a quick goal by Brenden Bell assisted by D. Salituro in the first 46 seconds. Mississauga responded 4 minutes later with a goal from Josh Burnside assisted by B. Cianfrone and A. Goldberg at 4:45. The Steelheads scored their second goal at the 17:27 mark by Andrew Goldberg assisted by J. Burnside and S. LeBlanc. Again Mississauga out shot Ottawa in this second period 14 – 9.

Period 3: Ottawa’s Travis Konecny scored the winning goal at the 11:55 mark of the third period assisted by E. Bradford and A. Lintuniemi while on the Power Play. Alex Lintuniemi sealed the deal with an unassisted empty netter at 19:35.
