PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Fort Worth Brahmas vs. Tulsa Oilers 12/9/12

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas – The Fort Worth Brahmas outlasted the Tulsa Oilers by the score of 1-0 Sunday afternoon, extending their win streak at home to six games. The Brahmas got their one and only goal at 17:54 of the first period when Erik Spady found an open Riley Boychuk behind the defense. Boychuk beat Tulsa netminder Ian Keserich on the breakaway for his fifth goal of the season and first game-winner. Brad Fogal was stingy between the posts for Fort Worth, stopping all 21 shots on net en route to his first and the Brahmas’ league-leading third shutout of the season.
With the win, Fogal improved to 6-5-1 on the season with a 2.89 goals against average and .897 save percentage. Keserich made 26 saves on 27 shots in net for the Oilers but took the loss to fall to 5-9-0. With Sunday’s victory, the Brahmas extended their win streak at home to six games, dating back to November 21st. Fort Worth is now 7-1-3 in front of its hometown faithful.
