TULSA, Okla. – The Fort Worth Brahmas defeated the Tulsa Oilers 3-1 Tuesday night at the BOK Center, earning their third consecutive road win. *Fort Worth jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a short-handed goal as Derrick Pallis took a feed from Tomas Klempa and fired a slapshot by Tulsa netminder Ian Keserich at the 5:40 mark of the first period. For the rookie Pallis, it was the first goal and second point of his professional career. The Brahmas extended their lead in an action-packed second period. Chad Woollard gave Fort Worth a 2-0 advantage 3:46 into the middle frame when he caught Keserich leaning and snuck a backhanded shot past veteran goaltender. At 16:44, Tomas Klempa went top shelf with a wrister off of a give-and-go feed from Sy Nutkevitch, extending the lead to 3-0. The score was Klempa’s third goal in the last four games. Less than a minute after Klempa’s goal, the Oilers got one back as Ben Gordon managed to weave his way through multiple defensemen and find the back of the net. Despite Gordon’s second goal versus the Brahmas this season, Fort Worth goalie Brad Fogal was simply too much Tuesday night. Fogal (5-3-1) made 35 saves on 36 shots between the posts for the Brahmas, earning his third consecutive victory, all of which came on the road. Fogal has stopped 79 of the last 82 shots he has faced. Keserich (4-5-0) made 25 saves on 28 Brahmas shots before leaving the game late in the third period due to injury. The Brahmas have now won three straight games on the road after dropping their first four games away from home to begin the season.
