GLENDALE, Ariz – The Phoenix Coyotes hosted the Minnesota Wild Thursday night in a tilt featuring two teams that have struggled of late.  The Coyotes are 3-3-4 over their last ten games while Minnesota is 4-6-0 over the same stretch o games.

Neither team has been lighting it up offensively but both teams have been injury-plagued but the Wild seem to shrugging off the ill-effects before Phoenix.

Thursday night saw Justin Fontaine score a hat trick for the Wild as Minnesota got a rare road win in the desert.

Mike Smith took the loss for Phoenix and has won only three of his last 17 starts.

Niklas Backstrom stopped 39 shots for the win.zucker-moss-4124

  1. A huge thank you to the Coyotes organization and PR staff. They are a class act and I could not have been made to feel more welcome by them!
