game that this was going to be feisty one when they dropped the gloves on the five minute mark, with the points going to Flyer’s McAlpine. The end of the first saw Fife Flyers end the period with a 2-0 lead with goals from Casey Haines who scored at 5.29, the Flyers doubled their lead as John Dolan scored at 8.34 on a much improved Fife powerplay.

Braehead came out in the second and shuffled their lines to good effect. The Clan moved NHLer Drew Millar, Ash Goldie and Bobby Chamont, up against Fife’s young Brit line which paid dividends with Chamont scoring at 20:29 and again at 26:56 to level the game. Flyers regained the lead when Kris Hogg struck at 28.27, however, Chamont struck again on the 36:19 mark to level the game with his hat-trick goal.

The third period was close, end to end stuff, but it looked like the game was heading to overtime when Drew Miller fired the puck past Bryan Pitton in the Flyers net at 59.23 to seal the bragging rights for the Clan.
