ALLEN, Texas – The Allen Americans won their first overtime game of the season on Saturday evening at the Allen Event Center, 3-2 over the Wichita Thunder.
Scotty Howes scored the game winner on the power play with 90 seconds left in the overtime period, when Anthony Maiani found him in front of the net, tipping one past Wichita goalie Kevin Regan for the overtime victory. It was Howes’ second goal of the night, and his 19th of the season in 19 games.
