PHN Photo Essay – Tulsa Oilers Vs. Allen Americans 12/09/11

TULSA, Okla. – The Allen Americans may boast the best record in the Central Hockey League, but so far they haven’t solved the Tulsa Oilers. Tulsa improved to 2-0 this season against Allen with a 3-2 shootout victory in front of 4,941 at the BOK Center on Friday night.
Dylan Clarke opened the scoring for the home side when he notched his eighth of the year on a first period power play. Clarke leads all CHL rookies in scoring and now has 12 points in his last 8 games.
Michel Beausoleil gave Tulsa a 2-0 lead just two minutes into the second period with a beautiful toe drag and wrist shot combination that beat Americans goalie Rejean Beauchemin. Allen stormed back with a pair of goals by Jarret Lukin and Jason Dietsch just 56 seconds apart.
Scoreless through the third period and overtime, the two sides went to a shootout where Oilers netminder Ian Keserich stood tall. Keserich stopped all five Americans shooters and David Solway scored the lone marker for Tulsa to give the Oilers the victory. Solway was back on the ice for the first time since suffering a concussion against Arizona on November 22nd.
Keserich turned aside 39 of the 41 Allen shots and picked up his tenth win of the season, tying him for the league lead with Nick Boucher of Fort Wayne.
