PHN Photo Essay – Laredo Bucks @ Allen Americans 12/17/11

ALLEN, Texas – The Laredo Bucks traveled to the Allen Event Center, battled hard, and came away with a 3-1 victory over the Americans on Saturday night.
The Bucks got on the scoreboard early in the first period when A.J. Hau stole the puck and scored an unassisted breakaway goal at the 1:43 mark.
Matt Boyd deflected the puck into the net at the 18:38 mark to make it 2-0. Rusty Masters and Adam Rivet were credited with the assists.
The Bucks were out shot by the Americans 12-10 in the opening frame but Ryan Rondeau could not be solved.
The Bucks played tough in front of their net throughout the middle frame and Rondeau continued to dominate in the crease, stopping all 10 shots faced.
Rusty Masters made it a 3-0 game with just 1:30 remaining in the period . Masters took possession of the puck as he left the penalty box after serving two minutes for Slashing. On an odd man rush, Masters beat Rejean Beauchemin with a little help from Joseph Harcharik and Ryan Sparling.
The Americans were able to take advantage of a 5-on-3 advantage at the 10:37 mark of the third when Brian McMillin finally beat Rondeau, assisted by Colton Yellow Horn and Bruce Graham. Unfortunately for the home team, it was their only tally of the game and the Bucks held on to skate away with the 3-1 victory.
