READING, Pa. – The PHN staff once again did well in this year’s NHL Mock Draft. Prohockeynews nailed 5 picks overall in the first round of the 30 team draft.
The top 3 picks in the draft with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins going to the Edmonton Oilers, Gabriel Landeskog heading to the Colorado Avalanche (courtesy of Terry Sanford), and the Florida Panthers selecting Jonathan Huberdeau.
Major kudos goes to Robert Keith for selecting Jamieson Oleksiak with the Dallas Stars pick at #15, and an even bigger kudos go to Kevin O’Connor for selecting Stuart Percy for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto originally had picks 25 and 30 but moved up in the draft to eventually pick at #22 and #25. Even though the Leafs moved up in the draft they still ended up taking Percy who was ranked 53 out of just the North American skaters by Central Scouting.
Regardless of how the draft shook out we hope you had as much fun following out mock draft as we did putting it together.
