RIO RANCHO, NM – The landscape of the hockey world is changing even as the Stanley Cup heads into only the third game of the Finals. The CHL and IHL announced they would merge to form a super league in the 2010-2011 season. Meanwhile the CHL saw two teams go dark this off season with the voids there and other cities filled by Junior programs from the NAHL. The economics of sports have impacted nearly every segment of the profession.
Despite the turmoil and scramble to right listing ships there is one constant, the 2010 NHL Entry Draft slated for Los Angeles, California on June 25th. Brian Jennings and Tom Schettino have managed the process and do so again this year.
Following three years of successful prognostication, Pro Hockey News is entering its fourth year of predicting the draft. Pro Hockey News’ staff has performed well in previous drafts and has competed well against ESPN, Fox Sports and TSN. This year we all look to improve on our picks.
And first on the clock are the Edmonton Oilers with the first pick in the 2010 NHL entry Draft.
