Patrosso is first American in the Clan

GLASGOW, UK – Derek Patrosso follows his 70 point season with the IHL Port Huron Icehawks by joining the expansion Braehead Clan of the UK Elite League.
Patrosso, 25, from Northville, Michigan, USA started his career in the USHL before reaching the NCAA’s Frozen Four finals with the Colorado College Tigers.
After an excellent first season as a professional with the Port Huron Icehawks, he attended camp with Rockford Ice Hogs of the AHL, before being assinged to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL and later deciding to sign back with Port Huron where he has enjoyed an outsanding season wearing the number 14 shirt.
Richardson, speaking to the club website, expects Patrosso to be a high scorer in the Elite League and his two season in the IHL suggest this will be the case.
Elsewhere, Nottingham Panthers forward Kevin Bergin has decided to join HC Amiens in the French Ligue Magnus after four years in the UK Elite League with Nottingham and Basingstoke.
