One last look at free agent signings through September 7th Only one noteworthy move since early August

NEW YORK – With training camps set to open and the pre-season schedule about to get underway, PHN takes one last look at the free agent signings this off-season.

The biggest name to move since August 7 was Mikhail Grabovski who moved over to the Capitals from Toronto. NHL

“Mikhail adds speed and offense to our lineup, and we are very pleased to have him sign with the Capitals,” general manager George McPhee said in a statement. “We believe he will be an excellent addition to our club.”

Grabovski, who ran afoul of Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle, signed with Washington for one year and $3 million.
