Matt Case would open the scoring for Ferris State who would take the early lead in the first period. Michigan at Michigan State

The Wolverines celebrated Hockey Day in Michigan with a shootout over arch nemesis Michigan State. Michigan would find victory behind six players scoring two point games. The win avoided the series sweep for the Wolverines.
Alaska at Northern Michigan

Throughout the season Scott Greenham and Brian Stewart have been two of the most consistent goaltenders in the CCHA. Both have worked hard to keep their teams in the game despite the circumstances. And while Northern Michigan would earn the win, neither goaltender would take the loss. Carlo Finucci would be the loan skater to record two points for Alaska assisting on each of his team’s two goals.
Nick Yaremchuk would record two points in the opening period to guide the Wildcats to the win over Alaska. Northern Michigan would score three times in the opening frame allowing the Nanooks to score once in the final two periods.

After an easy win on Friday, the RedHawks fought to the end for the series sweep on Saturday. Pat Cannone would score early in the second period to place Miami up 1-0 through the second intermission. Western Michigan would not lay down thought as Mike Levendusky would score his first goal of the season to tie the game at one. Miami would prevail in the end when Andy Miele would score the game winner with a few minutes remaining to help the RedHawks complete the sweep of Western Michigan.
Nebraska-Omaha at Notre Dame
Jeric Agosta and John Kemp each recorded three points for the Mavericks as the won their third straight and first time in five years at Notre Dame. Despite consistent play by the Irish, Nebraska-Omaha continued to develop momentum as the Irish became overmatched in the third period.
Calle Ridderwall opened the scoring for the Irish in the first period with his 17th goal this season. Nick Larson would follow him up a few minutes later to put Notre Dame ahead 2-0.
