TOLEDO, Ohio – The hockey community can be so small at times. Over the course of seven years I had the opportunity and good fortune to attend adult hockey camps in Las Vegas. In that time, I met a host of former professional hockey players from the NHL and minor leagues as well as coaches and players from the Junior ranks.
One of those coaches was Nick Vitucci, now head coach of the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
The walleye announced today that Vitucci would be “honored” with his own bobblehead.
Vitucci “had a moment” in 2011 and gear went flying onto the ice. On January 3, the Toledo Walleye will hold “Anger Management Night” presented by ProMedica.
This fun night features special video clips and skits throughout the game starring CatTrick, Spike and Vitucci.
ProMedica is offering free blood pressure screens on the main concourse.
The first 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative Nick Vitucci bobblehead.
Here’s to my coach Nick Vitucci, enjoy the night!
