COVENTRY, UK – After back to back warm up wins against fellow Division One nation, The Netherlands last weekend, Great Britain Head Coach, Paul Thompson has today named the 23 players that will represent the senior national team at the 2010 World Championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The team will fly to Slovenia on Friday this week and will take on Croatia, Korea, Hungary, Poland and the hosts in the six team Division One group.

Thompson has confirmed that the twenty-one players who defeated The Netherlands 4-2 in Nottingham on Saturday and 2-0 in Sheffield on Sunday, are all included in the team.   They will be joined by Ashley Tait who is currently involved in the Italian League play off final with his team Ritten Renon.   Tait will join up with the rest of the team as soon as his play offs are complete.   Nathan Craze will travel with the team as emergency goalie cover whilst Swindon Wildcats winger, Aaron Nell has been placed on standby in the event of any further injuries before the tournament.

David Longstaff, Tom Watkins, Greg Owen, Kyle Horne, Mark Thomas and Marc Levers are all forced to miss the World Championships through injury, whilst Shane Johnson (retirement), David Phillips   and Jody Lehman (both club commitments) are also unavailable for the tournament.
