PAPILLION, NEBRASKA – The reigning West Division Champions Fargo Force claimed a playoff position this week as last year’s expansion franchise made the playoffs for the second time in the teams two year existence. The Fargo Force joined the Omaha Lancers of the West Division and the Green Bay Gamblers of the East Division as the only teams to have claimed a playoff position thus far. Weekly Game Reviews:

Sioux City, Iowa – Andy Iles led Team USA by stopping 27 shots for the shut out win. Bill Arnold, Derek Forbort, Bryan Rust, and Mathew Nieto would contribute two points apiece in the winning effort. March 3, 2010

Waterloo, Iowa – Derek Arnold would score two goals for the Black Hawks in the win. J.T. Brown would add three assists, and Patrick Divjak would add two assists for Waterloo. March 4, 2010

Sioux Falls, South Dakota – Mark Anthoine and Zack Kamrass would score a point apiece to lead Sioux Falls offensive attack. Clay Witt made 23 saves to record the shutout victory, hi sixth shutout of the season. March 5, 2010
Sioux City 5, Des Moines 2
Sioux City, Iowa – Danny Wurden and Andrew Sinelli has two points apiece to lead the Musketeers past their capital city rivals. Despite allowing two points, Sioux City’s Matt Skoff was relatively unchallenged all night stopping 19 shots. Tri-City 2, Youngstown 0
Kearney, Nebraska – The Storm shut out the Phantoms behind the glove of netminder Carsen Chubak whom stopped 25 shots to take the victory. Mario Puskarich and Tyler Amburgey scored for the Storm. Chicago 3, Lincoln 0
Lincoln, Nebraska – Connor Wilson made 28 shots to shut out the Stars and lead the Steel to the victory. Jake Chelios would have two assists to lead the offensive attack. Fargo 4, Waterloo 2
Fargo, North Dakota – Despite two goals from Waterloo’s J.T. Brown, the Force managed to hold the remainder of the Black Hawks in check. Dayn Belfour made 31 saves to lead the Force in the win. Omaha 3, Green Bay 2
Green Bay, Wisconsin – Seth Ambroz and Camden Wojtala would sore for the Lancers who would defeat Green Bay in the shootout. Omaha’s Jeff Teglia would make 34 saves in the winning effort. March 6, 2010
Fargo 6, Waterloo 3
Fargo, North Dakota – The Force used two power play goals and shut down the Black Hawks on special teams to collect their 32nd win this season and clinch a playoff position. J.P. Burkemper scored twice to lead the Fargo Force in the offensive zone. Sioux Falls 7, Team USA 2
Ann Arbor, Michigan – Matt Bailey scored two goals, Brent Darnell had two assists, and Connor Allen had a goal and an assist to lead the Stampede. Clay Witt made 37 saves to collect the win for Sioux Falls as the Stampede rolled over Team USA. Green Bay 5, Omaha 4
Green Bay, Wisconsin – Robert Francis would have the game winning goal in the shootout to defeat the Lancers to split the series. Omaha’s Troy Power would have two goals in the losing effort and Green Bay’s William Kessel would have two points in the winning effort. Tri-City 5, Youngstown 4
Kearney, Nebraska – Jaden Schwartz’ hat trick in regulation and shoot out goal led the Storm past the Youngstown Phantoms in the winning effort. Brett Mohler would have two assists in the winning effort. Sioux City 2, Lincoln 1
Lincoln, Nebraska – Ryan Carpenter and Stephen Vigier scored a goal apiece for the Sioux City Musketeers and Matt Skoff would make 23 saves. The Musketeers edged the Lincoln Stars for their 20th win this season. USHL Weekly Honors (from the League)
