ESTERO, FL – The Blades played four road games this week, beginning on a low note with a pair of losses and ending on a high note with a pair of wins.
They started their road trip at the Arena at Gwinnett Center where they played against the Gwinnett Gladiators on Tuesday 11/1/11. The first period ended scoreless.
Gwinnett picked up the pace and opened the scoring towards the mid-point of the game at 8:13. Florida responded with a pair of goals. Philippe-Michael Devos has a power play tally at 9:36; Alex Hutchings put the Blades in the lead at 19:50.
Florida was held back and their scoring was over. Gwinnett evened up the score at 4:34 and clinched the win with a goal at 12:07 of the third period. Gwinnett wins over Florida 3-2.

The Everblades then traveled to North Charleston Coliseum to take on two games with the South Carolina Stingrays. Their first game was on Wednesday 11/2/11.
The Stingrays got on the scoreboard early with a quick goal at 1:02 of the first period.
Florida scored their lone goal of the game in the second. Leigh Salters kept them from being shut out by scoring at 4:59 of the period. The Blades were tied with the Stingrays at the end of two.
South Carolina took control and added the game winner and an insurance goal in the last period. South Carolina wins over Florida 4-1.

After a night off for both teams, they came back to play on Friday 11/4/11 at the Coliseum.
This was a different game from last night. Both teams exhibited a very defensive game. The scoring was limited to only one goal. The lone goal was scored by the Blades at 16:09 of the first by Ryan McGinnis.
Florida shut down the Stingrays in front of the North Charleston’s crowd. Florida wins over South Carolina 1-0.

The Blades got back on the road and traveled over to the Bi-Lo Center where they played the Greenville Road Warriors on Saturday 11/6/11.
Florida got out of the gate first tonight with a power play goal by Chris Murphy (his first of the night) at 4:42 of the first period; Greenville tied the game at the end of the period at 19:40. During the first period, Florida had a penalty shot opportunity. Robby Dee got the nod to shoot at 3:42 but could not convert.
The Blades added a pair in the middle frame by Mathieu Roy at 1:49 and Robby Dee at 3:18. They were leading 3-1 until Greenville scored mid-period. Florida still led 3-2 at the end of two.
Greenville was held back on any more scoring and Florida added a pair in the third. Chris Murray scored his second of the evening at 0:48 on the power play. Ryan Donald added more insurance with a short-handed empty net goal at 19:14. Florida wins over Greenville 5-2.
