NEW YORK, NY – San Jose Sharks left wing Ryane Clowe , Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Rick Nash have been named the NHL’s ‘Three Stars’ for the week ending December 12.
FIRST STAR — RYANE CLOWE, LW, SAN JOSE SHARKS

SECOND STAR — MARC-ANDRE FLEURY, G, PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
Fleury posted a 3-0-0 record, 1.67 goals-against average and .944 save percentage as the Penguins (21-8-2) extended their winning streak to 12 games. Fleury made 27 saves in a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils December 6, stopped 23 shots in a 5-2 victory over the Toronto MapleLeafs December 8 and concluded the week by making 34 saves in a 5-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres December 11. Fleury improved his season record to 14-6-1 with a 2.31 goals-against average, .914 save percentage and one shutout. He is 13-0-1 in his past 14 appearances, tying a career-high streak without a regulation defeat. He also has an active and career-best 11-game winning streak, recording a save percentage of .945 during that span.
THIRD STAR — RICK NASH, LW, COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS
Nash tallied six points (three goals, three assists) in three games, helping the Blue Jackets post a pair of victories and reach the 28-game mark with the best record in franchise history (16-11-1). Nash figured in each Columbus goal last week, starting with a last-minute, game-tying goal, an assist and a shootout tally in a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars December 6. He recorded one assist in a 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues December 8 and finished the week with two goals, including the game-winner late in the third period, and an assist in a 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers December 11. The Blue Jackets captain shares the League lead in game-winning goals (five) and leads his club in goals (16) and points (24) in 27 games.
