CHL Preview: Oilers load up on offense

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Oilers are poised for a break-out season after finishing last in the 10-team CHL last season. Head Coach Bruce Ramsay has made waves in recruiting after the team was purchased by Stevens Brothers Sports Management in June. Todd Robinson leads a long list of offensive firepower that the Oilers will rely on during the 2013-14 season.

Returning forwards Ryan Menai and Ben Gordon, along with newcomers Thomas Beauregard and Tomas Klempa will give Tulsa one of the deepest groups of forwards in the league. Ramsay also worked to shore up the defensive end of the ice, adding former Wichita Thunder defensemen Nathan Lutz and Jarred Mohr to help take some pressure off of second-year net minder Shane Madolora. On paper, this looks to be the type of team that Oilers fans have been waiting for – the potential is there to have at least three 50-point scorers this season.
