If Quebec goaltender Brassard played key role keeping the opponent out of the main scoreboard in the first period, Christopher Gibson did the same in middle frame closing the door on Quebec team blocking all 13 saves to keep the score 0-0 after forty minutes of play. Chicoutimi shot only once in second period.

With 1:05 remaining in the third period, Chicoutimi had an excellent chance to put an end to this exciting game in their favor and winning a third straight game. Unable to put an end in regulation time both teams went in overtime without being to be able to score.

Quebec will come back home to play next two games. First the Remparts will host the Prince Edward Island on Wednesday. On Friday, Rouyn-Noranda will be the visitor.

Notes: Correction needs to be made on Quebec goaltender Zachary Fortin number of shutout since season began. In our last QMJHL article, this column space recorded that the Quebec 6-0 victory over Sherbrooke last Friday was Fortin’s third shutout in his last six outings. Instead, he recorded his second shutout in the last five outings. Quebec last victory against Sherbrooke was Patrick Roy’s 325th victory in his head coaching career in 500 games.

Quebec general manager and head coach Patrick Roy also decided to put an end to the three goaltenders situation in goal placing veteran goalie Hugo Campeau on waiver. The Shawinigan Cataractes in need of goaltender clamed the former Quebec goalie.

In other news, Quebec will give a tryout to another junior AAA player over the next week. Alexandre Boivin, an 18 year old center of 6’ 00’’ 170 pound will be in uniform in next game against the Prince Edward Island Rocket.

Four other games were on QMJHL schedule on Sunday
Halifax 0 vs. Moncton 3
Baie-Comeau 4 vs. Saint John 5
Gatineau 2 vs. Blainville-Boisbriand 5
Drummondville 5 vs. Victoriaville 2
