Although Charlotte did not start badly before they knew it they were two goals down by the end of the first period. Cory Conacher of the Admirals had a shot skid off his skate and roll slowly through goalie Justin Peters legs. Number two richotted off the skate of Checkers, Brandon Gentile after Peters had saved from Norfolk’s, Tyler Johnson.

Norfolk went even further a head when Alex Hutchins sent the puck bouncing through a crowd of players past Peters in to the Charlotte net. Two more goals in the third period by Richard Panik and Conacher put the game well out of Charlottes reach.
