CHARLOTTE, NC – Nicolas Blanchard and Bobby Sanguinetti have agreed terms with the Carolina Hurricanes. Blanchard has agreed a two-year deal on a two-way contract. The deal will pay Blanchard $525.00 per season at the NHL level and $105,000 per season at the minor-league level. He has a guarantee of $125,000 per season.
Bobby Sanguinetti has a one-year deal that will pay $700,-000 at the NHL level or $105,000 at the AHL level. The Hurricanes feel that Sanguinetti had a strong second half of the season with the Checkers and that he can challenge for a spot on the NHL roster this coming season.
Blanchard, a physical and reliable forward has proved to be a leader and someone the players and coaches respect. This 6’3” 200lbs player has played in five seasons at the professional level. He has scored 50 goals, earned 56 assists (106 points) and compiled 579 penalty minutes in 342 career regular season games with Albany and Charlotte.
Sanguinetti, scored 50 points (10 goals) and (40 assists) in 60 games for the Checkers. He appeared in three NHL games for the Hurricanes.
