Bucky stole the Zamboni Monday afternoon and was involved in a “slow-speed” chase with the Laredo Police Department before being arrested. Bucky is currently “on ice” in jail and the Zamboni has been impounded.
Bucky’s goal in stealing the Zamboni is to help the Bucks sell out Saturday’s “Pucks for Autism” game at Laredo Energy Arena. If the game sells out with 8,002 fans, the Bucks will donate $10,000 to FFASAA (Families for Autism Support and Awareness).
“Bucky is trying to help raise awareness about Saturday’s game so we can sell out and donate $10,000 to FFASAA,” Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski said. “We want to accomplish the goal of selling out the game, so we are asking Laredo to support the Bucks, Bucky and FFASAA.”
