Brittle re-signs for the Steeldogs

SHEFFIELD, U.K.- British forward, Stuart Brittle, has re-signed for the Sheffield Steeldogs for the third year running.
 
Brittle has previously played College Hockey in the USA for the Geneseo Ice Knights in addition to completing seasons at the Hull Stingrays and the Nottingham Lions.
 
The 2012/13 season will be Brittle’s ninth season in a Sheffield jersey, playing for both the Sheffield Scimitars from 2004/5 to 2009/10 and the Steeldogs from 2010/11.
 
In 344 combined games for the Scimitars and the Steeldogs, Brittle has recorded a total of 243 points. Last season, Brittle was a vital player for the Steeldogs, securing 25 assists and 6 goals in 50 games.
 
Shane Smith, Steeldogs owner, said, “Stuart is big part of the team going forward. He sees the ice well and will be a key guy on and off the ice”.
 
“Stuart is another player who has seen the benefits from last season and is working hard off the ice ready for next season”.
 
Player/coach, Andre Payette was keen to re-sign the Brittle, saying, “ I think   Stuart is one of the best playmakers in the league and has fully embraced the Steeldogs’ work ethic”.
